A journey – No passport required
As I write this blog I have less than 16 hours before I leave the house and set off on my journey to Australia. Packing the suitcase just now made it suddenly seem so real and I found myself no longer seeing it as one more chore on my tick list but an exciting part of my travel to my daughter’s wedding.
It got me thinking. Jesus said He is coming back to this earth when He will take all those, both dead and alive, who have chosen Him as their Saviour, to heaven with Him. Now that is some journey.
Just as many friends and family are heading off to Australia from all round the world to join in the wedding celebrations so people all around the world will be part of the journey to heaven. Our wedding celebrations will be missing some loved ones and friends. I don’t want that same scenario on my journey to heaven to spend forever with God.
Why not take a gamble on God being real and heaven a real possibility. We have a 50/50 chance of being right. If I am right and God exists then a wonderful future awaits me. If I am wrong and He doesn’t exist then I will have lost nothing. So go on why not invite Jesus into your life and make wonderful plans for the journey of a life time.
