The Mighty God of Christmas
Mighty God is another name found in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 9, verse 6. The scholars around at the time this name was given would have immediately associated this name with God. They should have understood that Jesus was both human and divine. (This blows my mind and has been a head scratching idea for centuries)
It is because Jesus was more than just a good person we can have confidence that He has the power to put things right. Check out some of the mighty things He has done in the past.The Bible says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow so in my view that means if He has been mighty in the past we can expect might in the future. I love the fact that Jesus is not just a helpless baby but a mighty God. If you are feeling too tired to go on alone then ask Jesus for strength.
