Advent Calendar – December 20th
Hark! The Herald Angels SIng continues with encouragement. “Do not be afraid”
The shepherds were fearful because they encountered the “glory of the Lord”. Knowing their sinfulness, the shepherds trembled in the presence of God. However, Jesus came so that we might no longer live in fear of God’s judgment and condemnation, but so that we might have peace in our hearts as a result of knowing we have His forgiveness. When you experience this then what the angels say next makes a lot of sense.
“GREAT joy to all the human race”
