Big Family Picnic
Come and join us for a picnic at Moors Valley Country Park
This year’s Big Family Picnic is at Moors Valley Country Park on Sunday 10th June 2018. We would love you to come along and join us for a fun family day out.
We will be leaving Calmore Community Centre at 9.00am to ensure that we get a good parking spot at Moors Valley. Feel free to come in convoy with us or make your own way there and meet us for the picnic. We plan to sit down to our picnic on the big field by the lake at about 12.00 noon.
For those of you who haven’t been to Moors Valley Country Park before there is plenty to do including a play trail, fitness trail, play park, lots of cycle trails (cycle hire available) and a steam railway (small charge for rides on the railway). For any who are a bit more adventurous, there is Go Ape for those over 10 and Junior Go Ape for 6-12-year-olds. Go Ape needs to be booked and paid for in advance by yourselves if you want to have a go. (See website: www.goape.co.uk)
Moors Valley Railway has its Summer Steam Gala on the same day that we will be there so there will be lots of extra things to see and do on the day.
Car parking charges apply and will be £11 per car for the full day.
