Frontline – Debt and Benefit Advice
Debt is an ever-increasing problem that is affecting the lives of many of us in one way or another. Recognising that people in debt or those on benefits are struggling and often feel very alone and that they need help and assistance to relieve the pressure The Watering Hole wanted to do something about it.
Debit and benefits advice is available
Frontline Totton offers free, independent, confidential and competent advice from trained advisors to anyone needing help regarding their financial situation. The advisors are available for consultations at the Mayday House, Rumbridge Street 9:30am–12:00 most Thursday’s.
How it works? Advisors meet with an individual or couples and review their current financial situation and then work with them to prepare a budget plan. If necessary the advisor will negotiate with the client’s creditors to arrange affordable repayments. Clients will also be advised if they are entitled to any benefits or help with housing costs and Council Tax.
There are no limits to the number of times an advisor will meet with the client.
This service is FREE for all those in need and for as long as it is needed
