Taste and See
Do you know someone who likes chocolate? Do you like chocolate?
Let’s suppose that a person had never eaten chocolate before and wants someone to explain to them what it tastes like. How would you describe the taste of chocolate to them? It’s not easy
Would there be a better way to explain the taste? Yes, you could suggest that they try some chocolate?
There is only one way to really know how chocolate tastes and whether it is good or not. The only sure way is to eat it and taste it. That is the only way to truly know what chocolate tastes like.
In spit of all descriptions given, the only way to understand the taste is to actually taste it.
The Bible tell us that the Lord is good and in Psalm 34:8 invites us to taste and prove it:
“Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8)
The only way to really know the goodness of God is to experience it. It is not good enough to just hear people describe God and talk about him. We need to know him for ourselves.
So, why not to taste the Lord and see He is good? I’m sure you will not regret…
