Thought for Christmas – December 11
I came across this quote from the book “Lift Him Up”:
“The world’s Redeemer (another name for Jesus and one that describes something He offers everyone) possessed the power to draw men to Himself, to quiet their fear, to dispel their gloom, to inspire them with hope and courage.”
Just this week I have met with people going through really tough times and felt so helpless with the limited help I could offer them. If everyone did a little something to bring people hope this Christmas it would be a good thing. It embraces the spirit of Christmas but I believe that there is only one person, Jesus, who can make a real difference that lasts for ever.
It is because Jesus came to earth as a baby and then died on a cross as a man that He has provided a way to end suffering and hardship for ever.
