What’s On in November
The clocks have gone back; the evenings are darker; Bonfire Night is fast approaching. It must be November. There is plenty going on in November at the Watering Hole so here is a round up of what is happening. Remember to always check our Facebook Page too.

Messy Autumn
The very popular Messy series for parents and children returns with Messy Autumn. There will be plenty of crafts and songs and an appearance by the REACH puppet team. All of this will be on an autumn theme and encouraging people to be thankful. Ideal for families with parents working with their children. Messy Autumn will be followed by a light lunch of a soup and bread.
Messy Autumn will be in the Calmore Community Centre Calmore Junior School and begins a 11:00am on Saturday November 7th. This event is FREE but there will be a chance to make a donation.
TOTRAK – Christmas Card Making Bonanza
Also on the 7th November TOTRAK (Totton Random Acts of Kindness) will be organising a Christmas Card Making Bonanza.This is an opportunity to learn a crafting skill making Christmas cards that will bring a smile to those who may not have much to smile about during this festive time of the year. It’s an opportunity to make new friends and experiencing the satisfaction of working together to help others.
Christmas Card Making Bonanza starts at 2:30pm and finishes at 5:00pm at the Calmore Community Centre Calmore Junior School on Saturday 7th November. This event is FREE.
Family Quiz Night
It’s BACK AGAIN: Family Quiz Night returns by popular demand. After a very successful evening in October we are running another Family Quiz Night in November. Teams of 6 or less persons including children will compete against each other in a test of knowledge from sport to music with the possibility of a challenge thrown in for some surprise fun. There is a slight advantage to having a child in your team as some questions are for the children.
Family Quiz Night is at the Calmore Community Centre (Rufus Room) at 5:00pm on Sunday 8th November. This event is a joint venture with the Calmore Community Association and the Watering Hole. Cost: CCA Members £1; Non-members £1.50; Under 16s 50p. All monies raised will be split between Calmore Community Centre improvement projects and ADRA UK.
BBQ and Bonfire
On 14th November at 3:00pm we are having a BBQ and bonfire. It’s not quite November 5th but come and celebrate Bonfire Night with us. Bring your own meat and come and enjoy a BBQ supper followed by a bonfire and sparklers. This event is free.
Please remember to bring your own meat/burgers which you will need to cook on the barbecue provided. Rolls and relishes will be supplied. There will be sparklers and you are welcome to bring your own but, for safety reasons, PLEASE NO FIREWORKS. You will need to phone for directions to the field being used – 07941 903 257
